This recipe for the crispy battered fish is Tastes of Lizzy T’s recipe. But I really wish I would have crafted this one myself. Because it turned out great. And is now one of my favorite fish recipes.
My usual go to recipe for fish is lemon-dill. But today after fighting off the urge to enjoy a Tim Horton’s coffee on my way to the off leash park with the dogs. Really felt like I wanted to splurge and tried to make a healthier, whole 30 option for fried fish and chips. And this one was perfect.
I followed the recipe, which was super easy. But had to add more sparkling water, as my batter was way too thick.
I do have to say the batter did have an odd smell, which initially made me really concerned. But don’t worry about this. Or maybe it was just me 😉
The batter was great, coated the fish really well and cooked up perfectly brown.

On the side, I made a quick green salad with romaine lettuce and then topped it off with tablespoon of each olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
